Jarvis Landry will host a celebrity softball game in Eastlake which will feature his team going up against former Cleveland Browns cornerback Joe Haden’s club

A familiar face will take the field on Saturday, June 15 against Jarvis Landry. The Cleveland Browns wide receiver announced that he will host a celebrity softball game and will captain a team against former Cleveland cornerback Joe Haden.

Landry shared via Instagram that he will face off against Team Haden on June 15 in the celebrity softball game, and included a blurb at the bottom of the post that meet and greet passes will also be available for fans who would like to meet No. 80.

Other players, as well as at least one former NBA star, will be in attendance as well, as Ben Axelrod of WKYC has a list of participants.

"“In addition to Landry and Haden, various athletes and celebrities have already been announced for the game, including Myles Garrett, Bernie Kosar, Kareem Hunt, David Njoku, Stipe Miocic, Travis Kelce, Leonard Fournette, Trai Turner and Nate Robinson.”"

Landry joined the Browns in 2018 after leading the NFL in receptions the prior year with the Miami Dolphins. He was one of the many players ran off by former Miami head coach Adam Gase and has been a consummate professional for the Browns — both on, and off the field.

In his first season in Cleveland, Landry had 81 receptions for 976 yards and four touchdowns. He was also instrumental in convincing Odell Beckham, Jr. to put the Browns on his short list of trade destinations.

So far in offseason work, Landry has been dealing with an undisclosed injury which has had him watching from the sidelines. The fact that he should be good to go for this softball game is a positive sign that the injury is, in fact, minor and nothing to worry about.

As for Haden, he was the No. 7 overall pick out of Florida in 2010. He made two Pro Bowls in his seven seasons with the Browns, before being released ahead of the 2017 campaign. He has since joined the Pittsburgh Steelers, entering his third year with the divisional rival.
