Predicting Cleveland Browns 53-man roster after the offseason program
By Dan Justik
The Cleveland Browns finished their offseason program with many surprising story lines, so who may have the inside track to make the final roster?
The Cleveland Browns are in their final break of the offseason before the 2019 season begins to ratchet up during training camp. And for the Browns, it should be a fun training camp to watch.
The 2019 Browns boasts the most talent on paper the organization has had in several years. In fact, it is likely the most talented team the Browns have had since the organization returned to Cleveland in 1999.
Not only is it because of the offense led by Baker Mayfield and Odell Beckham Jr., but the Browns have talent all over the defense. With Myles Garrett, Joe Schobert and Denzel Ward leading the way, the Cleveland defense has plenty of potential for 2019.
Being able to watch the Browns put all this talent together on the field during training camp will be exciting for the Dawg Pound. However, it will be the competitions towards the bottom of the roster that will be the story of Cleveland’s training camp.
Because of how Browns general manager John Dorsey has been able to compile loads of talent since taking over control of the roster in December 2017, there will be plenty of battles for the final roster spots.
The top of the Browns organization has preached competition all offseason, so there will be plenty of players who will not be guaranteed roster spots, even if they are expected to.
With the Browns’ offseason program wrapped up and the team preparing for training camp and the preseason, here is an early prediction for who will make the final 53-man roster.
