Don’t get me wrong, this man could probably have his best year yet this upcoming season, but the Giants holding back Odell Beckham Jr.? If so, prepare for a big season with the Cleveland Browns

New Cleveland Browns receiver Odell Beckham, Jr. apparently is expecting a big year, allow me to let you in on a little secret, as fans, so are we. I’m absolutely expecting this man to have a career year if he is healthy.

The closer the start of the season comes into focus; I’m starting to think OBJ actually believes in this hype that surrounds Cleveland. You know the typical, “This team is great, it has so much potential.”

I feel it when I see a new player, a superstar, a game-changing superstar cut social media out of this life for an extended period.

More from Dawg Pound Daily

"“I can’t wait to get going. I just felt with the Giants I was just stuck at a place that wasn’t working for me anymore,” Beckham said via Jacob Davey of Complex.com. “I felt like I wasn’t going to be able to reach my full potential there; mentally, physically, spiritually, everything I felt capable of doing, I just couldn’t see it happening there. So, I think allowing me to be in an environment where I can be myself and give it a different approach, I feel like my football will benefit. I’m just excited about being able to play football again and not have to deal with all the other stuff and politics that came with my previous role.”"

I have to be honest, to see a man want to grow in all facets of his life and not just on his profession makes me happy and tells me, if he means what he said here, that not only is he not the bad person that the media tried to lead us to believe, but he actually is a good person looking to better himself.

The person giving this interview fails horribly for not following up OBJ’s comments about his mental and physical potential with, “What exactly do you want to accomplish?”

Imagine that answer. What more could this man wish to accomplish? If he has another five healthy years, with the stats he was putting up with the Giants, he’s in the Hall of Fame. Does he want more than that? To me, that is something special.

Next. Browns worth considering for Fantasy Football drafts. dark

Ask greedy Williams what he expects from himself and he already made it clear that he wants to be in the Hall of Fame. Why not? Going to be rookie of the year, anyway, aim high kid.

As for OBJ and his comment, Baker Mayfield, give this man the ball.
