Looking to finish with a winning record for the first time since 2007, the Cleveland Browns will be counting on many players to step up, such as these 3 offensive starters

While all that is great, Cleveland still went out and added talented players such as running back Kareem Hunt and wide receiver Odell Beckham, Jr. as they look to take the next step in 2019. Here, we look at the three players who will be the most important as they look to improve on offense and become contenders in the AFC North.

Honorable Mention: Nick Chubb

Clearly, the ground game is going to be huge for the Browns this season. Whenever a team can run the ball and control the clock, they can find ways to win games. In 2019, Nick Chubb is going to be the player Cleveland counts on to do just that — at least for the first eight games.

As good as Chubb was as a rookie, the former second-round pick will have some competition this season after Kareem Hunt serves his eight-game suspension. Once they are able to use Hunt as well as Chubb, they will have one of the best backfields in the NFL — especially when you consider their third option will be Duke Johnson.

So while Chubb is going to be important to the offense in 2019, he does play in a crowded backfield and the team has options should something happen to him. Because of that, he doesn’t make the top three but is an honorable mention nonetheless.
