2. Odell Beckham, Jr., Wide Receiver

The biggest move made this offseason by the Cleveland Browns was their trade with the New York Giants for wide receiver Odell Beckham, Jr. In need of a legitimate No. 1 wideout, the Browns gave up a first-round pick, a third-round pick, and safety Jabrill Peppers in exchange for the three-time Pro Bowl player.

OBJ instantly becomes the most accomplished receiver on the team as he enters his sixth season in the league with 390 receptions for 5,476 yards and 44 touchdowns. He does have some issues with staying healthy as he’s only played 16 games one time in his career, but he still has topped the 1,000-yard mark in four of his five seasons (the one exception being 2017 when he missed 12 games). He also has three seasons with double-digit touchdowns.

Where OBJ really thrives is as a deep threat. He’s got the kind of speed that can propel him past any defensive back and his catch radius is unbelievable. A human highlight reel, No. 13 can track the ball like no one else and makes one-handed receptions look routine.

In Cleveland, he joins a team on the rise and is quite possibly the missing link that moves their offense from good to contender. Not only does he give his quarterback a player who can win the one-on-one battle, but he also takes attention away from everyone else making their jobs easier. That’s why their newest superstar is the No. 2 most important player on offense in 2019.
