There are a lot of expectations surrounding Baker Mayfield and the Cleveland Browns, and those expectations are making Mayfield a popular MVP bet.

The Cleveland Browns offense is expected to be one of the most explosive in the NFL in 2019, with quarterback Baker Mayfield leading the way.

Surrounded by plenty of weapons, including Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry, Mayfield has an opportunity to be one of the top passers in the league next season.

Because of what the Browns passing offense could potentially be, Mayfield has been viewed as a potential MVP candidate in 2019, and he is the second-most popular pick to win the award, according to the Caesars Palace.

Mayfield was a Rookie of the Year candidate last season without having the weapons around him like he will in 2019. He had that success last season because he excels at not locking on to one receiver throughout the course of a game and takes what is given to him.

And after being put into Freddie Kitchens’ offense during the second half of the season, Mayfield’s strengths were being implemented into the offense. So Kitchens having an entire offseason to build the offense around Mayfield and calling plays should help Mayfield excel in 2019.

It is not surprising to see Mayfield becoming a popular bet for MVP because of the talent surrounding him on the offense. After what he was able to do last season without a game breaking talent like Beckham, it is expected that Mayfield will be able to do even more in 2019.

In order for Mayfield to win the MVP, however, the Browns are going to need to be winning games and be in position to reach the playoffs. And despite their loaded roster, being able to live up to the expectations of reaching the playoffs has been the biggest question about the 2019 Browns.

But for being in just his second season, and first season as the full-time starter, there is a lot of confidence in what Mayfield can do in 2019. And if he has an MVP-type season, the Browns should have no problems reaching the postseason.
