EA Sports released the official Madden 20 rookie ratings on Tuesday morning, and they had Cleveland Browns CB Greedy Williams in the top-20
On Tuesday Morning, EA Sports released the rookie ratings for the upcoming Madden NFL 20 video game, giving fans a chance to see how the makers of the popular video game see their incoming class of rookies.
Last season, the Cleveland Browns had two players taken in the first four picks as they took Baker Mayfield No. 1 overall and Greedy Williams fourth. Both were ranked high on the game’s initial release which had fans excited to pick up the new edition of the game.
This year, there was no first round pick but that doesn’t mean there was no highly-rated rookie sporting the orange and brown.
That’s because the Browns landed one of the bigger steals as they took LSU’s Greedy Williams at pick No. 46. He comes in tied as the 20th ranked rookie in the class with an overall score of 73 (and a speed rating of 93).
Williams was the sixth cornerback taken in the 2019 NFL Draft, which was rather shocking. Many draft experts had him pegged as the best corner in the draft, or at least in the top two or three.
Madden apparently agreed as he is ranked higher than everyone at his position with the exception of Byron Murphy who was taken by the Arizona Cardinals with the first pick in the second round.
For the Browns, their next highest ranked rookie was linebacker Sione Takitaki, the former BYU Cougar who was selected in the second round. Takitaki was given a respectable score of 70. Kicker Austin Seibert followed him with a 66 overall.
EA Sports is scheduled to release Madden 20 on all platforms on August 2, 2019.
