The Daily Dawg Tags brings you all the Cleveland Browns news you need to know, including if Duke Johnson’s new agent will affect the Browns.

The Cleveland Browns and Duke Johnson appear to be in a stalemate as Johnson hopes to be on a new team for the 2019 season.

But as he waits to be traded, Johnson made the decision Tuesday to let go of his agent Kristin Campbell and begin searching for new representation.

There were some questions about if this could mean Johnson’s feelings about the Browns’ organization have changed and he has started to change his mind about the entire situation in Cleveland, or if this change in agents will help him get out of Cleveland quicker.

Duke Johnson parts ways with agent Kristin Campbell after turbulent offseason – Mary Kay Cabot, Cleveland.com

"It’s unknown if the tweet had anything to do with Johnson’s decision, but one source told cleveland.com that the firing doesn’t change anything in regards to his desire to leave."

Johnson made it very clear that he does not want to be with the Browns anymore and there will be nothing the team can do to change that. But with the Browns making it seem like they are going to hold onto Johnson as an insurance policy, he may be spending the first part of the season with the Browns no matter what.

The Cleveland Browns’ Achilles’ heel for 2019

After addressing most of their needs this offseason, the Cleveland Browns do not have any obvious weaknesses on their roster. But Mitch Zoloty believes the right side of the offensive line could prove to be the Browns’ Achilles’ heel in 2019.

Browns 2019 training camp preview: Defensive ends – Andrew Gribble, ClevelandBrowns.com

"All told, the Browns got 17.5 sacks from players classified as defensive ends (Genard Avery, who is listed as a linebacker but worked a lot with the defensive ends during the offseason workout program, had 4.5). They want a higher total in 2019, and the belief is they’ll get it because Garrett has more help around him."

The addition of Olivier Vernon should help the Browns a lot in terms of rushing the passer on both sides of the line. But he will need to be just as stout against the run, as the Browns were brutalized when teams ran off the edge last season. With the depth at defensive end, this should prove to be a strong group in 2019.
