Cleveland Browns vs. Redskins live stream: Watch Preseason Week 1 online
By Randy Gurzi
The Cleveland Browns host the Washington Redskins at FirstEnergy Stadium on Thursday, Aug. 8 in Week 1 of the NFL Preseason. Here’s how to watch the game.
The first game of the preseason is nearly here as the Cleveland Browns will host the Washington Redskins on Thursday night. The game will take place at FirstEnergy Stadium, and if this past weekend’s orange and brown scrimmage is any indication, the fans will be pumped to see their team in action.
There was a great turnout for their annual practice as more than 37,000 fans were in attendance. That’s not too surprising given how pumped the fan base is for this coming season.
After two of the worst seasons in team history (1-31 in Hue Jackson’s only two full seasons as coach), the Browns finally turned a corner. After firing Jackson following a 2-5-1 start, Cleveland was 5-3 and nearly finished with a winning record.
They aim to get over that hump this season and this coming preseason game is the first step in that direction as it will help them decide some of the unsettled positions while also allowing the unquestioned starters to knock some of the rust off.
Here’s all the information you need to catch the Browns in action:
Date: Thursday, Aug. 8
Start Time: 7:30 p.m. ET
Location: Cleveland, OH
Stadium: FirstEnergy Stadium
TV Info: News 5 per team website

This will be the first chance to see Odell Beckham, Jr., Olivier Vernon, and Sheldon Richardson in a Browns uniform. While none should be expected to play for every long, it’s still exciting to get our first look at them in action.
