The preseason is all about getting things figured out before the games start to count. With that being the case, the Cleveland Browns have some lingering questions.

The Cleveland Browns are about to play in their third preseason game, which is usually the main event of the exhibition games. At least, that’s the way some teams treat it as this week is often referred to as the ‘dress rehearsal’.

Of course, with Freddie Kitchens calling the shots, there’s really no guarantee how this team will handle this game. What we do know is that there are still plenty of questions that need to be answered and there’s a lot of hope this week will help provide those answers.

Here we dig into the five most pressing questions as the Browns enter their third preseason game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Bonus question: Will The Scottish Hammer place kick?

In the past couple of days, we have seen Jamie Gillan on the practice field nailing long kicks. Perhaps he’s doing this on his own, but could there be more? If the Browns wanted to insert him into the battle, this would be the week to do so.

There’s also a chance the Browns just wanted him to kick some as the emergency option should an injury occur to whoever they keep as the kicker. As for Gillan himself, he’s currently entrenched in a battle for the punting job but he did handle the kicking duties at Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

His stats there were pretty rough, but the same could be said about Greg Joseph and he ended up doing a good job as an undrafted rookie.

Even so, it would take a huge leap of faith to turn things over to him at this point, but we all would love to see The Scottish Hammer take a few kicks in the preseason.
