3. Is Drew Forbes the latest answer at right guard?

So far, things haven’t gone according to plan at right guard. Cleveland would love nothing more than to see 2018 second-round pick Austin Corbett step up and perform, but he hasn’t done that.

Not only that, but he took a step backward in Week 2 as he really struggled to snap the ball at center and was called for a holding penalty.

While he has been struggling, rookie Drew Forbes has been stepping up. A sixth-round pick from Southeast Missouri State, Forbes has moved from tackle to guard and has caught the attention of his coach.

"“You see Drew getting better,’’ Kitchens said via Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com. “Even during the course of Wednesday’s practice, you saw him getting better. He got better as the game went on. He was better this week in the game than he was last week in the game. It pays to keep that upward trend…don’t make the same mistake twice.’’"

Time is running out on deciding who will start here and Forbes getting his name thrown in the mix at this point makes it seem as though he could be too late to take the job.

Then again, the fact that no one has secured it could also mean its wide open. A good outing from him could be all it takes to put him atop the list of contenders.
