2. Are the starters ready to go?

Freddie Kitchens has already proven during his short time as head coach of the Browns that he’s going to do things his own way rather than become handcuffed by NFL norms.

That could continue into this week as he kind of balked at the idea of Week 3 being a ‘dress rehearsal’ for the team as is often the case around the league.

More from Browns News

If Kitchens doesn’t think this game is needed in order for his starters to be ready, then none of us know what to expect. He could end up playing them all for a series or two or perhaps give them a full half.

With him, there’s no telling but it could be a safe bet that they won’t play long at all, especially if they look ready to go.

So far, we have hardly seen Baker Mayfield, Nick Chubb, and Myles Garrett. We have yet to see Odell Beckham, Jarvis Landry, and several of the big-name defenders.

It’s highly unlikely that the stars will see the field at all in Week 4. Instead, that’s likely going to be a game where players fighting for a roster spot get one last chance to prove themselves.

That means Week 3 is likely the final chance for us to see any of the top players in the exhibition games. It would be fun to see them all, but if they’re ready to go, it does make sense to hold them out.
