Cleveland Browns vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers live stream: Watch Preseason Week 2 online
By Randy Gurzi
The Cleveland Browns travel south to play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 3 of the 2019 NFL Preseason. Here’s all the info you need to catch the game.
Last season, the Cleveland Browns went down to Raymond James Stadium for a late-October matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Fresh off a blowout loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, the Browns were determined to right the ship and they played well enough to send the game to overtime.
Once there, they lost on a 59-yard field goal by Chandler Catanzaro of the Bucs. It was a heartbreaking loss which was followed by a defeat at the hands of the Pittsburgh Steelers. That loss to the Steelers also happened to be the nail in Hue Jackson’s coffin as he was let go once team owner Jimmy Haslam finally realized he was to blame for the 3-39-1 record he boasted.
Fast forward to now, and these are two different teams. The Browns are led by their new head coach Freddie Kitchens, who was the offensive coordinator in charge when the Cleveland offense turned things around last season. He also was once an understudy to Bruce Arians, who is in his first season as the head coach of the Bucs.
Arians was linked to the Browns job before landing in Tampa after apparently claiming he would like to come out of retirement to coach the resurging franchise.
Now he gets a chance to face off against the team he was intrigued by, but we aren’t sure how long he will get to face the starters who piqued his interest. Still, there are plenty of battles worth tuning in for, and we have you covered if you want to tune into the game.
Here’s all the information you need to catch the Browns in action on Friday:
Date: Friday, Aug. 23
Start Time: 7:30 p.m. ET
Location: Tampa, FL
Stadium: Raymond James Stadium
TV Info: News 5 per team website
Live Stream: NFL Game Pass, NFL.com, FuboTV
Freddie Kitchens didn’t sound as though he was ready to keep his starters out there for long despite this being the week most teams use as a ‘dress rehearsal’. Even if they’re limited, it could be a competitive game as the offensive line, kicking game, and wide receiver corps all have some heated battles going on.
