The Cleveland Browns will travel to Tampa Bay for their third preseason game of the year, but who will be the players to watch?

The Cleveland Browns have started the preseason on a good note, winning their first two games of 2019. They will look to continue that momentum in Tampa Bay against the Buccaneers Friday, who have split their first two preseason games.

The Browns have primarily played with their backups, as several starters have either not played or played limited snaps in the first two preseason games. That is expected to change against the Buccaneers.

Even though all of the starters are not expected to play, there should be a good amount who play their most significant action of the preseason. Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield has already said he wants to play at least a half against Tampa Bay.

With a mix of starters and backups expected to play, which Cleveland Browns should fans keep an eye on when the team takes the field Friday night?

Honorable Mention – Wide receiver Braxton Miller

The Browns signed Braxton Miller on Wednesday, adding him into an already deep competition for the final spots on the wide receiver depth chart. And it is likely that Miller’s chance with the Browns came too late to have a real chance at making the roster.

But with injuries to Antonio Callaway and D.J. Montgomery, as well as Odell Beckham Jr. being expected to sit out, Miller should have a chance to play increased snaps against the Buccaneers, giving him a chance to get an extended look from the Browns.

Because he was just signed Wednesday, he might not be available in all of the packages the Browns have game-planned for Friday. But if he can make plays in the packages he is familiar with already, it could help his chances in the wide receiver competition.
