Cleveland Browns News: Healthy Odell Beckham, Jr. back on the field
By Randy Gurzi
The Daily Dawg Tags bring you all the Cleveland Browns news you need, including a story about Odell Beckham, Jr. getting back on the practice field
With the regular season within earshot, the Cleveland Browns got some good news on Monday as wide receiver Odell Beckham, Jr. was back on the practice field.
For the past three weeks, OBJ has been dealing with a hip injury which kept him sidelined. It also contributed to him not playing at all in the preseason.
The staff continued to stress it was nothing serious and that proved to be the case. Not only did he get some reps in, but he looked like his old self, which is incredibly encouraging.

Cleveland Browns News
"“He looked good,’’ Kitchens said after practice, which is now closed to the public since camp broke last week. “It’s good to have him back out. We’ve been working on the side with him with other things. It’s just the natural progression, so it was good to have him back.’’"
While it was good to see No. 13 back on the field, Freddie Kitchens isn’t worried about the time he missed. He says OBJ was staying bust and working on the JUGS machine to keep his hands strong. Still, it’s good to see him on the field with the regular season approaching.
A Big Year for the Media Members Covering the Browns’ Big Year — Jonathan Jones, MMQB
"“Because the Browns were bad for so long and because the media here seems to more or less stay the same year to year, there was long a rhythm to this beat: cover bad football, start pre-draft stories around Thanksgiving, ready for the GM or coach firing and subsequent hiring.”"
This season will be different for the teams and fans, but as Jones says, those covering the team are winners as well. It’s much more interesting to talk about a winning organization rather than one trying to sneak out one lucky victory.
"“If you really pin me down, I always start the year with ‘Somebody has to beat Pittsburgh.’ Until that proves otherwise, that’s sort of where I usually start,” NBC Sunday Night Football analyst Cris Collinsworth said in a conference call on Tuesday."
It’s funny how we keep hearing the narrative that someone has to beat Pittsburgh. Well…they were beaten last season. The Baltimore Ravens are the reigning AFC North Champions, but for some reason, everyone wants to focus on the Steelers. Either way, the Browns have a tough road ahead of them, but it wouldn’t be shocking to see them win it.
