For their preseason finale, the Cleveland Browns would face off against the Detroit Lions for an edition of the Great Lakes Classic. These are our instant reactions as the Browns took home “The Barge.”

This preseason has been a series of ups and downs for their Browns. Led by a dominant defensive front that consistently got to opposing quarterbacks, Cleveland has shown that they are deep on the defensive line, and may have found a few diamonds in the rough. In their limited time together, the starters have been hit or miss, with the first drive against the Washington Redskins serving as the grand opening of the Dawg Pound’s shiny new offensive attack.

The fourth preseason game often showcases the bottom of the roster, and the young talents hoping to get their shot somewhere in the NFL. For some, it is the last time they will put on an NFL uniform. For others, it is the beginning of their professional football dream. But for mostly everyone playing in the preseason’s last hurrah, it is one of the most important nights of their professional lives.

With the preseason finally coming to an end, the Cleveland Browns took on the Detroit Lions on the final day of 2019’s exhibition games. As is custom for the fourth game of the preseason, neither team played nearly any of their starters, save for a few strays. These are our final preseason instant reactions before this weekend’s final cut day and the reveal of the 53-man roster, as the Browns take the preseason finale, 20-16.
