The Cleveland Browns host the Tennessee Titans on Sunday as Week 1 of the season gets underway. In that game, these three players will be key to winning.

Real football is finally back as the Cleveland Browns will host the Tennessee Titans on Sunday at FirstEnergy Stadium. The home opener gives fans their first chance to see some of the new-look Browns which includes additions such as Odell Beckham, Jr., Olivier Vernon, Greedy Williams, and Sheldon Richardson.

These players joining Baker Mayfield, Nick Chubb, Jarvis Landry, Myles Garrett, and Denzel Ward gives Cleveland the best roster they have had since their return to the league in 1999.

For that reason, hopes are especially high entering the season and their first chance to prove the hype is not misplaced comes at home against the Titans.

It’s a game the Browns could win but in order to do so, they’re going to need some strong effort from a few key players. Here, we look at three such players who will help determine the outcome.

The easy answer: Baker Mayfield

We all know that No. 6 is the heart and soul of this team. It’s hard to find another player who has endeared himself to a city as quickly as Baker Mayfield has and he’s clearly the most important person heading into this game.

That makes him way too easy of a selection for the keys to victory in the opening weekend. Mayfield has to play well for them to win, but here, we look even deeper at players who will have to step their game up a notch and keep the Tennessee Titans from stealing a victory on the road.
