Cleveland Browns News: Adam Gase dishes on Jarvis Landry
By Randy Gurzi
The Daily Dawg Tags bring you all the Cleveland Browns news you need to know, including Adam Gase speaking about his former player Jarvis Landry
The relationship between Jarvis Landry and Adam Gase was contentious, to say the least, during their time with the Miami Dolphins. That was a big part of why Landry was traded to the Cleveland Browns ahead of the 2018 season.
Now, the two are set to meet again as the Browns and Jets take the field on Monday Night Football. This time, Gase will be coaching the Jets, after Miami fired him following another season full of feuds with his players.
With Landry set to play his former coach, Gase is now saying nothing but nice things about Landry, even though Landry felt he was sent to Cleveland by the coach ‘to die’.

"“It will probably be weird just being on the other sideline,’’ Gase said on a conference call Wednesday. “Going two years, we had a pretty good run there in Miami. He had a lot of success. He did a good job. There was a lot of positive in our time. I know what kind of damage he can do to a defense. He’s steady. He’s tough. He’s as tough as they come. He’s a hard guy to match up with.”"
Of course now that they’re set to face one another, Gase has some complimentary words. However, both he and Landry would probably love nothing more than to hand the other a loss.
"“The problem here is that Smith not only denies being the beer-dumper, but he denies even being at the game to begin with. According to the alleged culprit, he hasn’t been to a Browns game in nearly 10 years.”"
The Browns were quick to identify the beer-throwing culprit but it was the wrong guy. The saga shal continue, but come one, the players did jump in the Dawg Pound. What were they expecting, a high five?
"“Words cannot describe the sorrow we feel for Chris following the loss of his girlfriend, Petara,” said the team’s owners Dee and Jimmy Haslam in a statement. “Our entire organization mourns with Chris, his family and the Cordero family. We will do everything possible to offer them our support, comfort and any resources in this most difficult time.”"
Words can’t express how hard this news was to hear. Our hearts go out to the family and friends who are affected by this tragic accident.

DPD’s Elliot Kennel looks at the current state of the Browns linebackers and says that their role is diminished in the defense being run by new coordinator Steve Wilks.
