After an up and down first two weeks of the season, the Cleveland Browns will return home to face the defending NFC Champions, the Los Angeles Rams. This is their blueprint against Sean McCoy, Jared Goff, and the Super Bowl runner-ups.

The Cleveland Browns have yet to impress most NFL fans this season. Despite sitting with a 1-1 record and having a 20-point victory over the New York Jets on Monday Night Football, the Browns have played sloppy football for two straight weeks.

Fans can hope that the Browns are simply taking the time early in the season to gel together, as the first team did not play all together once during the preseason. Rookie head coach Freddie Kitchens has a lot on his plate, and even with all that considered, the Browns’ flaws are evident early on.

Baker Mayfield has not looked as sharp as he did as a rookie, throwing just two touchdowns to four interceptions early on this season. He is the cog that makes the Browns go, and his success is, naturally, vital to the team as a whole. The offense has looked unbalanced and unreliable early on, but again, they may just be taking the time to learn what works and what doesn’t under new offensive coordinator Todd Monken.

But, the NFL waits for no one, and the Los Angeles Rams are coming to Cleveland in Week 3. The Browns have a massive test ahead of them on Sunday Night Football. As the only show in town in a primetime slot for the second week in a row, Cleveland has a lot to prove to fans and the league as a whole. This is their three-step blueprint for Week 3 against the Rams.
