Since taking over the Cleveland Browns general manager job, John Dorsey has re-made the roster. He’s added great talent on both sides of the ball and suddenly the team is full of talent. Even with all that being true, there’s one area that Dorsey really hasn’t fixed — the offensive line.

The Browns O-line has a couple of studs on there with Joel Bitonio at left guard and J.C. Tretter at center. However, their tackles could use an upgrade as Chris Hubbard has left a lot to be desired and while Greg Robinson has done a good job of revitalizing his career, the former No. 2 overall pick isn’t the ideal player to protect Baker Mayfield’s blindside.

Here, they do something to correct that by picking up Tristan Wirfs out of Iowa. A prototypical left tackle, Wirfs stands 6-foot-5 and weighs 315-pounds. Even with his incredible frame, Wirfs moves incredibly well and excels in both pass and run sets.

Wirfs does play on the right side currently but he has the athleticism to make the switch. Worst case scenario there would be that he spends a season learning the NFL speed on the right side before making a move. Still, in this scenario, the Browns line gets much better as Wirfs is an improvement over Hubbard and has the ability to replace Robinson long-term.
