By Dan Justik
The Daily Dawg Tags brings you all the Cleveland Browns news you need to know, including Jarvis Landry’s concussion being aided by an extra day off.
Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry had a dominating performance against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, catching eight receptions for 167 yards. Landry gathered most of his yards after the catch.
But when Landry almost scored a touchdown in the third quarter on a shovel pass, he was taken to the locker room not long after for concussion-like symptoms. Now Landry is placed in the concussion protocol.
It is unknown how long Landry will be in the protocol considering it is all determined by a how a player feels. But because the Browns are playing on Monday Night Football for their Week 5 game, Landry will have an extra day to recover.

Today’s featured article points out how the Browns are encouraged Landry has the extra day to recover so that he has a better chance of taking the field on Monday night.
Cleveland Browns News
"Landry is at the mercy of the medical staff, but he looked well and in a good mood when he stopped briefly in the locker room on Tuesday. He’s not allowed to be interviewed while he’s in the protocol, but he was overheard telling a teammate that he “feels great, 100%.”"
Landry has been a pleasant surprise for the Browns this season and is currently the team’s leading receiver. It is important to have Landry on the field because he has been a reliable receiver with Odell Beckham Jr. facing double coverage. With the extra day of rest, Landry has a much better chance to take the field Monday.
Nick Chubb should be the focal point of the Browns offense
Nick Chubb was the offensive MVP for the Cleveland Browns in their divisional victory over the Baltimore Ravens. Chubb’s performance has Martin McConnell believing that the running back should be the focal point of the offense for the immediate future.
"“I feel that’s kind of messed up that they did say that,” right tackle Chris Hubbard said following Tuesday’s light workout at team headquarters in Berea. “It’s definitely on film and he needs to take the consequences for his actions."
The Cleveland Browns have good reason to be shocked the Baltimore Ravens are defending Marlon Humphrey after it appears he was choking Beckham. But after Humphrey’s actions, it is fair to say it will be an intense atmosphere the next time the Browns take the field against the Ravens.
Signing Eric Berry could make Cleveland Browns defense elite
Safety Eric Berry is surprisingly still a free agent after the first quarter of the season. Matthew McFatridge thinks adding Berry to the Browns defense could help take the unit to the level of being one of the NFL’s elite defenses.
