Cleveland Browns: 5 Players who will be key versus San Fransisco
By Leon West
1. Pharaoh Brown
Pharaoh Brown is the most underrated key player on this list, but I am ecstatic to be writing about him. His impact won’t show up in the box scores, but what he brought to the table versus the Ravens, if sustain could be a big reason the offense clicks at a high level consistently.
Chubb has to thank Pharaoh and the offensive line for his performance. The Browns ran to Pharaoh’s side for 154 of Chubb’s 167 yards rushing. You read that correctly, 154 out of 167 to include all three of Chubb’s touchdown runs.
Pharaoh was the lead blocker on the 88-yard touchdown tote by Chubb, he didn’t connect with a block but redirected a defender out of the running lane that led Chubb to say, anyone could have run through that hole.
Pharaoh also lined up at fullback as a lead blocker on the Chubb’s 12 yard and two-yard touchdown run. Pharaoh had minimal impact as a passing threat catching only one pass for 18-yards.
The Browns have to establish the run that much is for sure: Chubb, the offensive line, and now possibly Pharaoh Brown could lead to the Browns living up to the sky-high expectations for this explosive offense.
