A quarter of the way through the season and the Cleveland Browns are right where they were hoping to be, atop of the AFC North. Here’s a look at three key players that have helped them get there.

While it hasn’t been pretty, the Cleveland Browns find themselves in a tie for first in the AFC North division with the Baltimore Ravens. The road bumps have hit the team hard, from a disappointing start to the season to injuries all over the roster. Freddie Kitchens has often looked like a first-year head coach as well, with his offense having issues through the start of the season.

Cleveland may not be happy with how everything has gone at the start of this season, but they still find themselves in a great position to reach all the goals they and seemingly everyone in the media have set for them. With the infusion of talent this off-season, it was almost a necessity to make the playoffs for it to be considered a successful season.

Even with a 0-16 campaign happening just a few short seasons ago, the expectations changed with the overhaul of talent brought in by general manager John Dorsey.

There have been several players so far this year who have helped get this year Browns team into the position they are in. Some are players that were expected to perform and produce for the team, while the others are more of a surprise player who is outperforming his expected production.

Here are the team MVPs on offense, defense, and special teams so far through the first quarter of the season.
