The Cleveland Browns head out to Northern California for their third primetime game in four weeks when they take on the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football. The 49ers come into the game with a perfect 3-0 record. Let’s take a look at three San Francisco 49ers’ to watch for.

Wow, what a difference a week makes. The Cleveland Browns are going into this week five MNF appearance coming off of a dominating performance where they handily beatdown their rival, the Baltimore Ravens; in Baltimore no less. Crushing your enemy in their own backyard is sure to inspire confidence going forward; especially when it comes to road games.

These young Browns seem to have turned a corner; especially on the offensive side of the ball. They should be gaining another weapon this week with second-year wide receiver Antonio Callaway returning to action after serving a 4-game suspension. Rashard Higgins may also be getting back into the fray after suffering an ankle injury in week 1. With the offense starting to hit its second gear, it will be interesting to see how they integrate these talented playmakers.

Steve Wilks has the Browns defensive unit steadily humming along without three of their starting defensive backs. Which is a feat of significance, considering that Wilks’ scheme employs five defensive backs the majority of the time. As the Browns head into week five, it is unclear if any of their injured defensive backs will be ready to go in time to take on the 49ers.

The front six, however, is playing lights out football. The defensive line is controlling the line of scrimmage at the point of attack, and the linebackers are cleaning up nicely. Joe Schobert is leading the AFC in tackles with 44, and the Browns defense has only given up one rushing touchdown on the season.

The San Francisco 49ers are the lone undefeated NFC team remaining with a 3-0 record and are going into this primetime tilt coming off their bye week. Let’s take a look at three players on the 49ers that the Browns need to have their focus on.
