Through the first four weeks of the 2019 NFL season, the Cleveland Browns sit at a middling 2-2. They need to build on their convincing Week 4 win over the Baltimore Ravens with a solid performance against the San Francisco 49ers.

The Cleveland Browns are trending up. After a disappointing first game against the Tennessee Titans, the Browns seemingly struggled to find their footing for the next two weeks. However, Cleveland gave a convincing all-around effort against the divisional rival Baltimore Ravens, resulting in a 40-25 victory over the purple and black.

Baker Mayfield and the Browns look to improve on their Week 4 win, but a formidable foe stands in their way. The San Francisco 49ers, one of the league’s biggest surprises this season, sit at a perfect 3-0. Under the guidance of Kyle Shanahan, the 49ers have neatly put away the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Cincinnati Bengals, and Pittsburgh Steelers to begin the season.

In Week 5, the Browns and 49ers will meet for a game that could go a long way in deciding both the AFC North and NFC West standings early on. The undefeated 49ers currently lead their division, as do the Browns, but a loss for San Francisco could put them into second place behind the Seattle Seahawks. As for the Browns, a loss here could give up major ground to the Baltimore Ravens, allowing them to take control of the division once more.

On football’s grandest primetime stage, Cleveland and San Francisco will clash for an early-season big game. They say that legends are made on Monday night, and this blueprint could help the Cleveland Browns to move to 2-1 in primetime games this season.
