Cleveland Browns: Best bets for Monday Night Football
By Leon West
The Cleveland Browns continue their season tonight versus the San Francisco 49ers. Here’s a betting preview for tonight’s matchup.
Note: odds courtesy of Bovada as of Monday morning.
Baker Mayfield over 260 passing yards (odds -115)
The 49ers are only giving up 75 rushing yards per game. Their defensive line is filled with first-round picks and tons of depth. The Cleveland Browns will attempt to run the ball early, but if San Francisco plays stout run defense like it has all season, expect a ton of passing from the Browns’ offense.

Baker Mayfield has yet to throw the ball less than 30 times in any game this season and has only gone under 285 passing yards one time this season. Don’t expect to see either of these things change.
San Francisco placed starting cornerback Jason Verrett on injury reserved on Thursday. The Browns are set to get back their entire receiving core, which should increase Mayfield’s efficiency.
Odell Beckham under five receptions but over 79.5 yards (odds -115 & -115)
Odell had two receptions for 20 yards last weekend. He did well as a decoy and downfield blocker, but that’s not why you bring in Odell Beckham. You bring him in to catch passes and score touchdowns. Mayfield will target him any time he can, but don’t expect him to be force-fed. Freddie Kitchens is amazing at drafting up plays to get chunk yardage, and he’ll have one or two ready to dial-up for the star wideout.
Nick Chubb first to score a touchdown (+175)
Red zone offense was a problem against the Los Angeles Rams. The Browns went 1-4 but bounced back with a 4-5 effort against the Baltimore Ravens last week.
Thanks in large part due to the ground game that accounted for three of the four touchdowns while inside the 20-yard line. The Browns will find a way to move the ball, and when they get in close, they’ll feed Chubb as often as possible.
