Cleveland Browns studs and duds from Week 5 loss to the 49ers

Dud: Greg Robinson
The Browns knew they would be facing a challenge against the talented front-four of the San Francisco 49ers. However, left tackle Greg Robinson did not seem prepared for the challenge as he looked like a turnstile far too often.

Robinson was typically lined up against rookie Nick Bosa, who ended up having the best game of his young career. No matter if Robinson had help from Joel Bitonio or was lined up one-on-one with Bosa, Bosa was winning most of the reps.
One of Robinson’s strengths as a blocker is his size and power. He typically does a good job of controlling a rusher once he gets his hands on them. But even when he got his hands on Bosa, the rookie was shedding Robinson with ease.
By the end of the game, Robinson’s inability to stop Bosa became a major concern after he allowed a massive hit to Baker Mayfield. Mayfield was slow to get up from the hit, and was out of the game by the next drive as a precaution.
The Browns signed Robinson to a one-year prove it deal this offseason after playing well in 2018. But it is quickly becoming apparent that having Robinson block Mayfield’s blind side is creating far too many issues.
