5 Cleveland Browns who hold the keys to victory against the Seahawks
By Joel W. Cade
The Cleveland Browns return home from the disaster by the bay to take on the Seattle Seahawks. If these players play well, the Browns can win this game.
The Cleveland Browns did not show up for Monday Night football. Let’s hope they don’t repeat that performance and show up this Sunday at home against the Seattle Seahawks.
The Seahawks are not as formidable on defense as the San Francisco 49ers. The Seahawk defensive line is not as dangerous. The secondary boasts one good player at each level but not much beyond those three players. Seattle is not the team they once were.
Offensively, the Seahawks are rebuilding. But like every team in that division, only the Arizona Cardinals being the exception, are built on running the ball with a play-action passing game. However, the Seahawks offensive line is struggling, plus they do not have an identified workhorse running back. This team is vulnerable if players in key positions can perform well.
The Seahawks are coming off the “short bye” having played on the previous Thursday night. Their hard-fought victory over the Los Angeles Rams showed just how much Russell Wilson runs the offense. It also showed how rookie D.K. Metcalf is developing as a wide receiver.
One dangerous thing about the Seahawks is their talent. They have a lot of players who are extremely athletic. Their draft strategy has been similar to the Browns under Sashi Brown. They usually trade back and target players with great athleticism with the idea of coaching them up. As where the Browns have failed miserably at this approach, the Seahawks have been successful.
There are five players who will be key to a Browns victory. If these players play well, this game becomes winnable.
