Cleveland Browns: 5 Seahawks to watch against the Browns
By Joel W. Cade
The Cleveland Browns are at home this Sunday to face a very good Seahawks team. These players could give the Browns serious problems on Sunday.
The Cleveland Browns host the Seattle Seahawks this Sunday. The Seahawks are a very good team that likes to run the ball to set up the pass. Their defense is well-coached, disciplined and presents a formidable challenge for the Browns.
The Seahawks are a team that fit into the NFC West. Outside of the Arizona Cardinals, NFC West teams are built to run the ball and throw off play-action. Defenses in that division are set up to stop the run with smaller faster linebackers who also excel in coverage. The Seahawks are the team that sets the standard to which the rest of the division is trying to become.
The Seahawks present a different challenge to the Browns. They are not as good along the defensive line as the San Francisco 49ers. Their linebackers are better. But the secondary still needs to improve. The Browns are in a position where they can beat this Seattle team.
The Browns should be able to run the ball on this front 7. They should also be able to pass in the short to mid-range against this secondary. If the Browns can capitalize on those fronts, the long passing game should open up for big plays.
Even though this game looks to be winnable. There are some players that the Browns must neutralize to be successful. On defense, the big worry for the Browns is always the tight end. The pass rush will have to contend with the feet of Russell Wilson. On offense, the Browns must solve the riddle of Jadeveon Clowney and the blitz brigade.
