1. Rashard Higgins, WR

Another good player who could be in danger of playing elsewhere soon is wide receiver Rashard Higgins. Formerly a fifth-round pick out of Colorado State, Higgins was actually released in 2017 by former coach Hue Jackson. He then found his way back to the lineup and made a name for himself last season.

With Jarvis Landry and Antonio Callaway getting the majority of the attention, Higgins was able to shine when facing one-on-one coverage. In 13 games, he had 39 catches for 572 yards and four touchdowns.

As this season approached, he was starting to get a lot of hype due to the strides he made as a route runner. At times, he looked to be the second-best receiver on the field during camp as only Odell Beckham, Jr. seemed more complete than him — although to be fair, Landry was injured for much of that time.

Higgins hasn’t been able to capitalize on that progress though as he was once again injured and sent to the sideline. This time, it happened after just one game in which he had two receptions for 46 yards.

In Week 6, Higgins was expected to come back to the team but he never saw the field. He thought he was going to play but with that not happening, it raises flags in terms of his future with the team.

Next. Browns must add missing link Trent Williams. dark

With Cleveland boasting a strong receiving corps and Higgins playing on a one-year deal, this could be the time to send him elsewhere. As hard as it would be to see him leave, it would make sense for John Dorsey to try and get something for him now rather than waiting and hoping for a comp pick.
