3. The offensive line adds Trent Williams and surrenders less than 10 sacks

This bold prediction is two-folded. The first part is the Browns have to trade for Trent Williams. Speculation has grown that the Washington Redskins and the Browns have been in discussion, but general manager John Dorsey said in a press conference on Wednesday it takes two to tango. Mary Kay Cabot reported shortly after the presser that it is believed Greg Robinson is on his way to the bench or is dangerously close to it.

Williams is a seven-time pro-bowler and a five-time all-pro. He has had some injury issues recently, but when healthy is one of the most formidable and reliable left tackles in the entire NFL. Adding Williams to the offensive line would ironically be a welcome sight for Mayfield’s blindside.

The Browns constructed game plans last season that kept Mayfield clean. Baker was sacked 25 times last season, but only three times after the bye week. The offensive is missing Kevin Zeitler at right guard, but the other four linemen remain the same.

Replacing Robinson with Williams and having the post-bye game planning that did them so well in 2018 will do more of the same in 2019. Protecting Mayfield should be the number one concern for the Browns, and they’ll make every attempt to make sure that he’s safe and sound.
