The Daily Dawg Tags bring you all the Cleveland Browns news you need to know, including the report that Baker Mayfield is fine after a hip injury

Any loss hurts, but when a star player gets banged up, that makes it even worse. The Cleveland Browns lost to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 6 and during the game, quarterback Baker Mayfield started to favor his hip.

He finished the game but it was clear that he was hurting. That had some concerned but it also made the timing of their bye week seem like a gift.

Now after a week off, the Browns are saying Baker Mayfield is good to go, which is huge for Cleveland as they’re set to face off with the defending champions, the New England Patriots.

Freddie Kitchens discusses Browns offensive line in Monday press conference: Transcript — Scott Patscko, Cleveland.com

"“On how QB Baker Mayfield looked in practice following a hip injury sustained in Week 6:”“I thought he looked good today – focused, concentrated, threw the ball well and moved around well. He is good to go.”"

It’s good for not only the Browns that Mayfield is healthy, but for the league as well. The fact is, Tom Brady won’t be around forever and players such as Mayfield are in line to be the future stars. It will be good to see the new age star in Cleveland going at it with the six-time Super Bowl Champion.

Emily Mayfield, wife of Browns Baker Mayfield, will join WKYC Studios as a special correspondent — Greg Burnett, The Plain Dealer

"“WKYC Studios announced this afternoon that Emily Mayfield will join their news team as a special correspondent, starting Tuesday. And if you are wondering, yes, she’s hitched up with that other Mayfield.”"

Emily and Baker Mayfield are becoming very well known, especially with the success of their recent Progressive commercials. It’s fun seeing them both become so entrenched in the Cleveland area.

Kareem Hunt returns to practice

With two more games remaining on his suspension, running back Kareem Hunt has been allowed to start practicing with the Browns. That could give him a shot at contributing when he does hit the field in Week 10 against the Buffalo Bills.
