The Cleveland Browns have a gargantuan task in front of them when they take on the defending Superbowl Champions, the New England Patriots this week. We take a look at four under the radar players that the Browns will need big games from in order to leave Foxboro with a victory.

The Cleveland Browns find themselves in a matchup of biblical proportions this Sunday. Unfortunately for the Browns, it’s a David vs Goliath type affair and the Browns are the ones with the slingshots. While it ended up going well for David, going into the contest it appeared he was all but doomed. It’s the same scenario this Sunday when the Browns head to Foxboro to take on the New England Patriots.

The Patriots enter the contest with an undefeated record of 7-0. Exactly none of their wins have been by the skin of their teeth either. They are absolutely dominating teams, outscoring them by a staggering 175 points.

Bill Belichick is once again the defensive coordinator, and it shows. The Patriots’ defense has been so domineering that even if their offense never took to the field the Patriots record would still be 3-3-1. Their defense is entering a legendary realm.

What’s even scarier for the Browns, is the amount of praise that Belichick is heaping on them. To hear ‘The Hoodie’ talk on his conference call, you would think the Browns are the undefeated team and absolute locks to win the Superbowl. You know those same sentiments are being spouted in the Patriots locker room. Any chance of catching them with their guard down is non-existent.

All of that being said, the game will still be contested, and the Browns have to be going into it with the mindset of getting a victory. Games are not played on paper and this one is no different. It will take everything Cleveland has to leave Gillette Stadium with a win.

It’s not all gloom and doom, the Browns are coming off their bye week and have had an extra week to prepare for late Sunday tilt. They are also catching the Patriots coming off a short week. If Belichick wasn’t the Patriots head coach, these would be huge advantages. Instead, they are just plusses.

Hopefully, Browns’ head coach Freddie Kitchens has utilized the bye week to his advantage to get some of the team’s issues sorted out. There will be next to no room for error and getting the most out of his team is a must for Kitchens this week.

Cleveland’s marquee players will need to play lights out football just to be able to contend with the defending Superbowl Champions. But it’s going to take a total team effort to escape Foxboro with a win.

Now let’s take a look at four under the radar players for the Browns that could have massive impacts on the game this Sunday.
