Pick Analysis. OT. Scouting Report. 2. 41 overall. LucasNiang. player. 872

Here in the second round, after refusing to reach in the first, the Browns land TCU standout offensive tackle Lucas Niang with the 41st overall pick. Niang, presumably ranked as the third-best tackle in the class (with Prince Tega Wanogho, Alex Leatherwood, etc.), may slip into the second round as it is a deep class at the skill positions.

With Greg Robinson and Chris Hubbard both on the verge of being benched in Cleveland, the Browns may need to add not one, but two tackles this offseason. This writer does not see it as big of a hole as others are making it out to be; sixth round pick Drew Forbes will likely fill in at right tackle next year, and if the Browns add one at the deadline, then all of this worry will be overblown.

The Browns are currently in a frenzy to try to acquire an offensive tackle at the trade deadline, so if they are able to land someone like Trent Williams, then they will obviously not be in such a dire need to land a top tackle in the draft. Luckily in this draft, the Browns do not panic, do not reach for a tackle in the top-ten after the two top tackles are off of the board, and still land a highly regarded talent in the second round.
