Cleveland Browns 7-round mock draft after bye week

This past offseason, the Browns whiffed on two veteran defensive tackles in Gerald McCoy and Mike Daniels as they were looking to add depth alongside of Sheldon Richardson and Larry Ogunjobi. A sure-fire way to make sure you do not whiff on any more talented players is to draft them when you have the chance.

Here with the 105th pick in this mock draft, the Browns have the chance to add a massive run stopper in Utah’s Leki Fotu, an opportunity they do not whiff on. The Browns are in desperate need of depth behind Ogunjobi and Richardson as both Devaroe Lawrence and Daniel Ekuale are grading out at 55 or below according to Pro Football Focus (subscription required).

At a whopping 6-foot-5 and 335 pounds, Fotu is a stunning and unmissable presence in the middle of the Utah Utes’ defense. While Fotu does not have any sacks on the season, the run stopping fiend has tallied five and a half tackles behind the line of scrimmage in just five games in his senior campaign.

Additionally, Fotu has gotten his hands on two passes at the line of scrimmage this year for Utah, showing the awareness to get after the football. Fotu fills a massive need for the Browns, as they are in need of rotational pieces who will not compromise the integrity of the defense when Richardson and Ogunjobi need a breather.
