There is a real potential that the wide receiver position could look much different in 2020 than it does this year. Rashard Higgins is in his contract year, and it, at this point, does not seem likely that the Browns utilize him enough to justify a healthy extension; with over $30 million between Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry already, Higgins may walk after the 2019 season.

While the receiver position will not be a dire need if Higgins walks, as they still have Antonio Callaway, the Browns will more than likely look to add another one in the draft. Here they land fast rising quarterback Joe Burrow’s favorite target in Justin Jefferson from Louisiana State University.

Listed at 6-foot-3 and 192 pounds, Jefferson is a long target who is averaging 16 yards per catch over the last two seasons for the Tigers. Nearing 1,000 yards already this season in his junior season at LSU, Jefferson has also scored nine touchdowns in seven games as well.

Jefferson could be a hot commodity when we creep closer to April and the draft, as physical freaks like him do not come around often. Should he test off the charts at the combine, Jefferson could see his draft stock skyrocket.
