2. Jarvis Landry

Not to beat a dead horse, another thing the Bills did well was attacking the slot cornerbacks of New England. Jarvis Landry leads the Browns in receiving with 439 yards, averaging 17.5 yards per reception.

Since Week 1, the reception leader against the Patriots has come from a receiver that plays primarily out of the slot. In all but one of those six contests, the yardage leader, although not many yards, have come from a slot receiver as well.

Cole Beasley had his most productive day of the year going for 7 receptions and 75 yards. New England will probably attempt to shadow Odell Beckham Jr. with All-Pro cornerback, Stephon Gilmore. Gilmore has been exceptional in coverage this season. He hasn’t played many top-tier No. 1 receivers this season, but it wouldn’t be wise to test him very often.

Landry and Beckham are the best combination of receivers New England has faced this season by quite a wide margin. Jarvis has been the most consistent weapon for Mayfield all season long. The Browns need to get the ball to Beckham when he has one-on-one matchups, but the passing game should flow through Landry. He’s proven he can handle a high target share, and he should get one this week. Dominating New England’s slot corners could be the best way to succeed on Sunday.
