Game: Cleveland Browns (2-4) vs New England Patriots (7-0)

The Cleveland Browns are heading to Foxboro, Massachusetts to take on the defending Superbowl Champions, the New England Patriots. A momentous task that words barely begin to describe. Spots just do not get any bigger than this in the regular season.

The following sentence is not hyperbole. The Patriots’ defense is currently playing at a level that no human being alive has ever witnessed. Through seven games this season, the defense has only surrendered three touchdowns and has picked opposing quarterbacks off 18 times.

That sounds like the perfect stage for Baker Mayfield to show the world what he is made of. The young quarterback isn’t going to back down from the challenge and will throw two touchdowns as well as two interceptions. Let’s be honest, against that defense, you would gladly take that ratio.
Even on a tough afternoon, Nick Chubb will be the engine of the team. Chubb will get between 20 and 25 carries for 80 yards and a score. Add in a couple of Austin Seibert field goals and the Browns will have had a nice showing for themselves.

On the defensive side of the ball, Larry Ogunjobi will have a monster game registering two sacks as well as a few more disruptions and will have effectively caused Tom Brady to not look like the ‘G.O.A.T.’ that we are accustomed to. Myles Garrett will continue to do Myles Garrett type things, but he is going to spend the majority of his day Sunday dealing with countless double teams and chip blocks. Even on one leg, Garrett will get to Brady before it’s all said and done.

The backend of the defense will have a little extra juice on Sunday with the return of Denzel Ward and Greedy Williams. The defensive backs will play surprising well against the Patriots and match the interception total of their counterparts with two.

At the end of the day, there is no shame in losing a close game to the defending Superbowl Champions in their stadium. Thankfully, the Browns won’t know anything about that, as they will escape Foxboro with a win due to a missed extra point by Mike Nugent as well as a blocked field goal by Tavierre Thomas.

Score: Browns 27, Patriots 26
