The Cleveland Browns struggles continued against the New England Patriots, with several players having sloppy performances in the loss.

The Cleveland Browns were hoping having a bye week before their Week 8 contest against the undefeated New England Patriots would help their preparation. Instead, the Browns were outmatched once again, losing 27-13 to fall to 2-5 on the season.

The Browns could not get out of their own way from the start of the game, especially on the offensive side of the ball. Cleveland turned the ball over on three consecutive offensive snaps in the first quarter, instantly putting themselves in trouble.

The Browns shooting themselves in the foot has become a common theme this season and is arguably the biggest problem with the team. Cleveland has had chances to win games, but they can never overcome their own mistakes.

There were moments against the Patriots that the Browns looked like they could hang with New England. But because of the amount of mistakes they made, they could never capitalize to make it a close game.

Cleveland had some solid performances from multiple players, but there were also plenty of players who had underwhelming performances. And without a standout performance from any certain player, the Browns were unable to make things interesting against the Patriots.

There are some players who were struggling earlier in the season who seem to be figuring things out, such as Baker Mayfield. But without more consistent performances across the entire roster, the Browns will have to deal with more outcomes such as Sunday afternoon.

With that said, here are the Browns who played well against the Patriots and the players who struggled on Sunday.
