Cleveland Browns: Trent Williams and 3 other trades that would ensure AFC North title

Halapoulivaati Vaitai, OT — Philadelphia Eagles
With the NFC East title still well within their grasp, the Philadelphia Eagles are projected to be buyers and not sellers at the deadline. However, Halapoulivaati Vaitai might be available for the right price. The Browns needed help at the offensive tackle position, and they need it badly.
The Eagles are solidified at tackle with Lane Johnson and Jason Peters. Vaitai started 10 games during their 2017 Super Bowl run and has been used in a limited capacity since then at both right and left tackle.
The Eagles need secondary help, and the Browns are loaded at the cornerback position. T.J. Carrie was rumored to be on the trade block. Carrie is 29 years old and in year two of a four-year $31 million extension signed last offseason.
If the Browns are willing to part with Carrie and a late-round pick, the Eagles might be persuaded enough to pull the trigger on the deal. Carrie has played well out of the slot this season. However, the struggles on the offensive line have hindered the offense.
Cleveland’s success for the rest of the season will be contingent upon how quarterback Baker Mayfield plays. Keeping their signal-caller upright is one of the critical steps in the process, and Vaitai and his versatility would surely help.
