The Daily Dawg Tags brings you all the Cleveland Browns news you need to know, including if it is time to get Rashard Higgins on the field.

The Cleveland Browns offense has been mired in problems for most of the season, including having to deal with a Rashard Higgins injury for a large part of the season. Higgins proved to be a reliable weapon for Baker Mayfield in 2018, and having him away from the offense this season did not help.

But Higgins was cleared to play prior to the Seattle Seahawks game and seemed ready to make an impact. Instead, he spent the entire game on the sidelines itching to get on the field. The decision was questioned, especially since Higgins and Mayfield have such good chemistry.

The trend continued following the bye week as Higgins was once again left standing on the sidelines against the Patriots, except for a few players after Jarvis Landry was hurt and during garbage time. Following the game, head coach Freddie Kitchens hinted that Higgins wasn’t ready to play.

Nevertheless, today’s featured article makes the case that it is time to get Higgins on the field as the No. 3 wide receiver instead of Antonio Callaway.

Cleveland Browns News

It’s time the Cleveland Browns promote and play Rashard Higgins as their No. 3 wide receiver – Ellis L. Williams, Cleveland.com

"It’s time to plug “Hollywood” Higgins into the lineup alongside Beckham and Landry. Not only because the passing game needs a breath of new life, but also the Callaway experiment isn’t working."

Since the Browns have inserted Callaway back into the lineup since his suspension ended, he has provided next to nothing to the offense. Not only has he made mistakes lining up, but he is just not making plays. With his ongoing issues, the Browns should involve Higgins in the offense more to see what differences he can make.

Most Cleveland Browns fans who have been to games or around team events have seen the super-fan known as Pumpkinhead. Nick Pedone talks with the man known as Pumpkinhead to get to know the man underneath the pumpkin.

Browns’ season reaches the breaking point – Jake Trotter, ESPN

"At 2-5, the margin for error has been wasted away, like so many challenge flags thrown by coach Freddie Kitchens. The turnaround must come now for the NFL’s most disappointing team to date or it won’t be coming at all."

The Cleveland Browns knew there were going to be challenges along the way this season as they attempted to reach the playoffs. But after such a slow start to the season, there is no more time to mess around. If they still want to reach the playoffs, they will have to get all of their issues ironed out immediately, because they have run out of time.
