2. Kareem Hunt, RB

We only have a small glimpse of what Kareem Hunt can bring to the Browns offense, but it was an Impressive glimpse. Already great at the position with Nick Chubb, this signing seemed a bit superfluous at first. After seeing him in action though, it’s clear that this isn’t the case.

After serving his eight-game suspension, Hunt was on the field for their win over the Buffalo Bills and he was able to help not only as a runner but also in the passing game.

More from Browns News

Hunt ran the ball just four times but gained a healthy 7.5 yards per rush, finishing with 30 yards on the ground. His real impact was as a receiver, pulling in seven of his nine targets for another 44 yards.

What was most impressive was the way the Browns were able to use both him and Nick Chubb in the backfield at the same time. And Hunt even delivered an impressive block on one of Chubb’s many good runs on the day. After the game, Hunt was all smiles and expressed his gratitude to finally be back on the field — and was happy to get the chance in his hometown of Cleveland.

Given the fact that he was released by the Kansas City Chiefs for an altercation with a female, the move to add Hunt was a risky one. But so far, he’s doing and saying all the right things. Should that continue into the offseason, the Browns need to try and bring him back — even if it’s only on another one-year contract — and allow him to continue to rebuild his image in front of his hometown fans.
