Cleveland Browns Week 11 Injury Report: Olivier Vernon, Eric Murray ruled out
By Randy Gurzi
The Cleveland Browns will be without defensive end Olivier Vernon and safety Eric Murray in Week 11 as they play the Steelers on Thursday Night Football
Without much time between games, the Cleveland Browns will be without a couple of players who were not available last week as both defensive end Olivier Vernon and safety Eric Murray have been ruled out for their Week 11 contest against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Both players were added via trade this offseason and had been seeing a lot of action in their first year with Cleveland.
Vernon, who was with the New York Giants prior, started the first eight games of the season before missing Week 10 with a knee injury.

He was replaced by Chad Thomas, the second-year pro from Miami. Thomas played well in Vernon’s absence and the Browns will rely on him once again.
Murray is also out due to a knee injury but he hasn’t been on the field since Week 8 when they played the New England Patriots. Murray’s injury also required surgery, but they decided not to place him on the IR, so he should be back at some point this season.
A former Kansas City Chief, Murray has started three of the seven games he played this season. He’s recorded 22 tackles, a sack, and one pass break up.
Other names on the injury report include tight end Ricky Seals-Jones and offensive tackle Kendall Lamm. They are also dealing with knee issues but have been given the questionable tag.
For the Steelers, they have ruled out running back Benny Snell (knee), wide receiver Ryan Switzer (back), and fullback Roosevelt Nix (knee). Linebacker Anthony Chickillo and cornerback Joe Haden were given the questionable tag.
Running back James Conner is the big name that fans were watching as he has missed time recently for Pittsburgh but is expected to suit up Thursday.
