Cleveland Browns shut down Myles Garrett interview on Fox

Myles Garrett was reportedly set to go on Fox and discuss the fight he got in on Thursday but the Cleveland Browns shut it down before it could happen
We should know soon what Myles Garrett‘s fate this season will be. Suspended indefinitely by the NFL, Garrett is appealing the suspension and hopes to get a more accurate timeline of when he will return to the Cleveland Browns.
While he is appealing the suspension, Garrett will mostly be discussing the length as he does understand he was in the wrong. He’s been sincere in his apologies and wants a chance to prove he can put this mistake behind him.
He also apparently wanted to speak on Fox about the entire thing but the team stepped in and shut that down according to Rob Goldberg of Bleacher Report.
Clearly, the team made this move in an effort to protect Garrett. Right now, there’s not a lot he can say to help his cause and there’s a risk that he could answer a question the wrong way and have it used against him in his appeal process.
As it stands now, he’s said everything he needs to say. He admitted his mistake, says he will take ownership of it, and wants to prove it was out of character rather than an indictment of who he truly is.
Anyone who has followed the career of Myles Garrett should believe all this. He’s normally a mild-mannered young man who doesn’t draw attention to himself.
His intentions for wanting to be interviewed were probably also good and he likely would have used the forum to try and apologize to his fans once again.
However, his fans aren’t going to be mad at him and understand this was an isolated incident. There’s no reason to say anything else and waiting to see what the league rules in the appeal is the right move.
