Cleveland Browns Week 12 mock draft all about protecting Baker Mayfield

Round 6: Denzel Mims, WR, Baylor
Lost in the news of the Myles Garrett suspension from the Thursday Night Football brawl was the release of Antonio Callaway just hours before the game. A risky selection last season, Callaway continued to prove his off-field troubles were too much to overcome and Cleveland washed their hands of him.
With him gone, and the lack of trust this staff seems to have in Rashard Higgins, the Browns need to bring more bodies in this coming offseason. It’s not a huge need with Odell Beckahm, Jr. and Jarvis Landry under contract but it needs to be addressed.
That leads to the selection of Denzel Mims in this mock. A 6-foot-3, 215-pound wideout from Baylor, Mims averages more than 15 yards per catch and has 26 touchdowns over the past three seasons. He could wind up finding a role on this team due to his large catch radius and ability to bring in contested passes.
Round 7: Isaiah Wilson, OT, Georgia
As much attention as Greg Robinson has received for his struggles at left tackle, Chris Hubbard has been as big of a liability on the right side. The former Pittsburgh Steelers swing tackle was given a large contract last season but has not lived up to that.
Isaiah Wilson might not be a day one starter but he’s got plenty of experience for the Georgia Bulldogs and has held his own against SEC talent. His addition with their final pick at least gives them someone capable of pushing Hubbard.
If nothing else, he could end up developing into a starter down the road, should they ever decide to move on from Hubbard.
