Ryan Fitzpatrick

First up we have Ryan Fitzpatrick. The man known around the NFL as “Fitzmagic” is at it again. The career journeyman quarterback, who is in his 15th season and playing for his eighth different team, is once again looking like a viable starter in the NFL. It should also be noted that Fitzpatrick is 5-1 in his NFL career against the Browns.

The 36-year-old Fitzpatrick has been able to breathe some life into this young Dolphins squad. He led them to wins over the New York Jets and the Indianapolis Colts before falling to the Buffalo Bills last week. Still, going 2-1 over the last three weeks has given this struggling Dolphins team the confidence they lacked early in the season.

Fitzpatrick’s experience makes him a dangerous foe. There isn’t going to be anything the Browns can throw at him that he hasn’t seen before. He is also very durable and has the ability to weather the storm and come out swinging if the Browns let up for even a second.

The Browns defense will need to be aggressive and fundamentally sound at the same time to keep Fitzpatrick from dictating terms on the field. Being able to manufacture pressure without being blatantly obvious when blitzing the veteran signal-caller is a must. It would also help if this is the week that Fitzpatrick turns back into a pumpkin.
