Three Dolphins players to watch for in Cleveland Browns Week 12 tilt
DeVante Parker
The talent of DeVante Parker has never been in question. Coming out of college, Parker was one of the most heralded wide receivers in the nation. That talent has gone unrealized for the most part going into his fifth season in the NFL. Talent alone is not enough.
Though he has played well in spurts and has shown he has the ability to be a dangerous weapon in this league, Parker has never been able to put together a season to show that he has arrived. This season, Parker has begun to change that narrative.
He has become increasingly efficient while making tough catches, and in the process became Fitzpatrick’s go-to weapon in the passing game. Parker is averaging over 15 yards per reception this season. So far, he has 40 receptions and has found the end zone four times in 2019.
The Dolphins have done a good job at moving Parker around and calling his number on big third down plays. If the Browns can limit Parker’s effectiveness over the middle of the field, it will help eliminate the Dolphins’ ability to get chunk plays in the passing game. Outside of Parker, most of the Dolphins receivers do their work underneath the coverage.
