Game: (5-6) Cleveland Browns at (6-5) Pittsburgh Steelers

The Cleveland Browns are heading into enemy territory to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers with second place in the AFC North and a possible Wild Card Playoff berth on the line.

This is where the proverbial rubber meets the road. After Sunday one of these teams will have an extremely uphill battle keeping their hopes for the postseason alive. The Browns offense comes into this week 13 matchup with a good bit of confidence. The Browns skills positions are playing as well as they have all season.

They will have to negate the Steelers formidable pass rush, possibly without their starting left tackle, and will need to get their running game going to do so. Expect Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt to see quite a hefty workload. After the run is established Baker Mayfield, Jarvis Landry, and Odell Beckham Jr. will get their chances for big plays off of play-action.

On defense, the Browns will be facing a young quarterback making his second NFL start. The Steelers will be without their starting running back, but they will still need to stick to their running game. If the Browns can shut down the Steelers running attack, the defense should be able to have their way with rookie signal-caller Devlin Hodges. Expect Steve Wilks to blitz early and often to exploit the rookie’s inexperience.

This shouldn’t be a high scoring game. If the Browns can put up north of 20 points, that should be enough to leave Heinz Field for their first win since 2003. It should be a fun bus ride home.
