Cleveland Browns News: Baker Mayfield injured his ribs

Baker Mayfield hurt his hand during the Cleveland Browns loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Now it appears he also injured his ribs in that game.
Unfortunately, we all saw it coming. The Cleveland Browns offensive line has struggled to keep defenders off of Baker Mayfield all season and now the quarterback is dealing with not one, but two injuries.
Mayfield left their game on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers with a hand injury but was able to get back into the game. On Wednesday, it was reported that he also suffered an injury to his ribs.
The second-year quarterback believes he will be able to play against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 14, but it’s just another strong reminder that this team needs to focus on the offensive line in the offseason.

Baker Mayfield also has injured ribs
"“The team’s official injury report discloses Mayfield as being limited in practice on Wednesday with both a hand injury and ‘ribs.'”"
Baker Mayfield continues to insist he will play this coming weekend and the Browns will need him to. The last thing they can afford is to drop a game to the 1-11 Bengals.
"“The Browns waived the veteran lineman on Tuesday. Smith’s girlfriend, Petara Cordero, was struck and killed by a driver on the highway in Cleveland on Sept. 11 after Smith’s vehicle hit a median. Cordero and Smith exited the vehicle and another car struck the passenger side door and then Cordero.”"
Head coach Freddie Kitchens said the circumstances around this release were tougher than normal but that the team will always support Smith. It was also shocking to see the release from a football standpoint given how thin they were on the defensive line.
