Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report looked at some potential trades that could shake up the NFL in 2020 and the Cleveland Browns were well represented

Heading into 2019, the Cleveland Browns shook up the NFL as they made some big moves. One was adding Olivier Vernon in a trade with the New York Giants. Another was signing defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson.

As much noise as those moves generated, the biggest splash came in their second move with the Giants, which was the blockbuster deal that sent Odell Beckham, Jr. to Cleveland.

His arrival had everyone thinking big with the Browns, but after 13 games, he has yet to make the impact he expected. And because of this, the rumors that he wants out have gotten out of control.

With that being the case, the idea of OBJ being traded is starting to get floated all around the league. And now, Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report looks at the possibility of sending him to the New England Patriots.

Knox says that there’s a possibility due to OBJ’s frustrations as well as the dire need in New England — which is why he names this as one of the trades that could shake things up in the 2020 offseason.

"“There are plenty of teams that could use a No. 1  receiver like Beckham, but the New England Patriots stand out as one that could be willing to pay the price to get him. New England took a chance on Antonio Brown earlier this year and traded for Mohamed Sanu before the trade deadline—yet, receiver remains a primary need.” — Knox, Bleacher Report"

Sending OBJ to New England isn’t the only trade that Knox says the Browns could look into doing that could shake up the league. In fact, his first trade idea is one that Cleveland wanted to make this season — adding Trent Williams who is currently a member of the Washington Redskins.

Not only is Williams unhappy with Washington, but the Browns also need a left tackle desperately and he’s been one of the best in the game for years.

"“The offensive line has been one of Cleveland’s biggest issues this season. Putting a talent like Williams on one side of the line would help address that, and the Browns could add more talent on the trenches early in the 2020 draft.” — Knox, Bleacher Report"

Out of the two trades, there’s no doubt that the fans would like to see the Williams trade happen while skipping on the Beckham deal. He’s still an incredible talent and adding a good left tackle such as Williams could even help him as it would allow Baker Mayfield more time to get the ball to No. 13.

As for the rumors about the receiver wanting out, everyone in Cleveland continues to deny the rumors and teammates such as Baker Mayfield and Jarvis Landry have supported OBJ. Landry even went as far as disputing any rumors that his friend wants out.

That won’t stop the rumors, which we all saw during his tenure with the New York Giants. All we can do is ignore them for now and just hope he stays with the Browns for many years to come.
